Fall FunFest ’26 A free night out. No catch.
Saturday, October 24 • 5–8pm
Ohio State has a bye weekend, so you do too. Bring the kids, bring the neighbors, and come eat, play, and enjoy a fall evening with us at Living Word in Galena.
How it works Location & detailsOne evening. Zero cost. All yours.
Every year we throw a party for our neighbors, and every year it gets a little bigger. Fall FunFest is a free night out for families across Galena, Sunbury, and the Big Walnut area: dinner from a lineup of food trucks, live music, a petting zoo, bounce houses, axe throwing, and a whole field full of things to do.
You don’t need to be a member. You don’t need to be a churchgoer. You don’t need to bring a dime. You just need to show up.
We believe Jesus turns strangers into family. FunFest is one of our favorite ways to start.
Dinner’s on us Four food trucks plus Kona Ice. One free meal for every guest.
Pick up your food ticket at the welcome tent, then choose any truck on the lot. Every person who walks in gets one free meal plus a free Kona Ice, no strings attached.
- Tacomania Street tacos and more
- Kat’s Kraft BBQ Smoked meats, done right
- Dan’s Deli Sandwiches and deli classics
- The Grateful Griddle An assortment of hamburger options
- Kona Ice Free shaved ice for every guest
Each guest receives one meal ticket and one Kona Ice ticket at the welcome tent. Food is first come, first served while supplies last, so come early and come hungry.
Something for every age
From toddlers to grandparents, there’s a reason to stick around all three hours.
Petting zoo
Picture Perfect Ranch brings the animals to us. Little hands, gentle critters, big smiles.
Bounce houses
Multiple inflatables, all evening long. Wear socks.
Axe throwing truck
Real axes, real targets, real bragging rights. For the grown-ups.
Face painting
Tigers, butterflies, and many other options for the kids to enjoy.
Balloon artists
Swords, dogs, hats, and crowns, twisted to order.
Photo booth
The Columbus Photo Booth Company is here to capture the night. Grab the props, grab your people, take one home.
The Scally Brothers, live in concert
Back by popular demand. Bring a lawn chair, grab your dinner, and settle in for a live set from one of Ohio’s favorite bands.
How it works
It’s simple, but it does go in order.
- Come in through the main entry tentEveryone enters through the welcome tent. That’s where the night starts.
- Pick up your ticketsEach person gets one free meal ticket and one free Kona Ice ticket. Hang on to them.
- Eat, play, and stay a whileTrade your ticket at any truck, then hit the animals, the bounce houses, the axes, and the concert. Stay until 8.
Bring a can. Feed a neighbor.
FunFest is free, but if you’d like to give something back, we’d love for you to bring non-perishable food items with you. Drop them at the welcome tent on your way in.
Everything collected goes directly to Big Walnut Friends Who Share, our local food pantry, to help families in our community who are going through a hard season. Last year our neighbors showed up in a big way. Let’s do it again.
Our goal is to collect over 5000 items this year for Big Walnut Friends Who Share!
